About Me

Aspiring product manager. Dachshund mom. Enthusiastic foodie.

After more than a decade in roles using my mechanical engineer and engineering management background, I transitioned my career into software engineering in 2019 because I enjoy making unique customer experiences, products, and websites. I love working in an industry where user experience and technology converge. I thrive when I can see the effects of my work immediately and make changes based on feedback and new innovation. I use React, Typescript, Node.js, Material-UI, PostgreSQL, Cypress, and Jest daily to solve bugs and create new features.

I am currently curious about product management. I am curious about new ways to combine my time in tech with my previous experiences in program and project management. In 2022, becoming a certified scrum master was the next logical step for me in my journey of discovery. As 2022 ends and 2023 begins, it is my goal to learn more about product management with the aim of understanding where that knowledge fits into my career. Let me know if you recommend any product management resources I should check out!

My family and I recently relocated to the Los Angeles metro area from Kansas City. As a new arrival to LA, I love discovering everything the city has to offer - from the mountains to the beach. When I am not out exploring my new hometown, I’m checking out dog friendly restaurants with my black and tan dachshund named Chunk.
